Aspen Leaf on Lichen

This specimine of fallen aspen leaf was found where it was photographed on a lichen encrusted rock illuminated by the spectrum strong fall sunlight.

photo edit notes:

I used some standard color correction techniques, but selected the lichen background and rock (inverse of leaf) and visually adjusted to get a better shade of green. I increased the saturation for aesthetic impact and used the unsharp mask filter differentially on different parts and channels to optimally sharpen the image.
