The scene was in an area now devastated by a massive forest fire in the Lost Creek Wilderness near Deckers, CO.

photo edit notes:

It was originally an overcast day, so I substituted a more interesting sky. Although not noticeable at the scale shown, it has a "cross-hatch" paintbrush filter with a canvas texture. It is vignetted on a background with a gradient of two colors selected from the photo.
